About us

Threefold Community Farm (The Pfeiffer Center & Duryea Farm united) practices, teaches, and promotes biodynamics through courses, workshops, and internships for all levels of experience and interest. The ongoing work of developing a biodynamic farm individuality in the northern suburbs of New York City is the foundation for our educational programming, which includes our 3-month summer internship, our one-year part-time practical training in biodynamics (13 full-day workshops from September to June), our CSA, volunteer days, Farm Stand, and annual Plant Sale, our Midwinter Agriculture Intensive, one-day workshops on beekeeping and other subjects; and our children’s programs. Threefold Community Farm staff and interns raise and market produce, herbs, and flowers, care for and work with draft horses and honeybees, make and market herb teas, herb salts, and salves, and practice seed saving. On our farm, interested people who want to create a thriving future for our planet and humanity can learn an agricultural approach where the Earth is not merely a material object, the animal is not a machine, and the soil is more than just chemical compounds. At the Threefold Community Farm, every living thing is honored and worked with in its relationship to the whole landscape and to humanity.
